Stage 2 Frontier Campaign is here, launching on 18 Oct 2021 at 3:00 PM PST (campaign may be subject to timeline extensions).

After extensive testing, the initial phase of the Frontier Campaign has been successfully completed with 99.9% uptime over a period of 32 days on Anvil testnet. 75 node operators from 30+ countries, including Wetez, Forbole, Genesis Labs and Infinity Stones, helped achieve this milestone together. The effort, engagement, evangelism and enthusiasm from this great community of validators have been amazing.

Today, the second stage of Frontier Campaign begins, not only for validators to spin up a node server but also for delegators and all the talents and enthusiasts in the community.

THE FINDORA FRONTIER PROGRAM IS NOT BEING OFFERED TO ANYONE IN THE UNITED STATES, THE BALKANS, BELARUS, BURMA, COTE D’IVOIRE, CUBA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO, IRAN, IRAQ, LIBERIA, NORTH KOREA, SUDAN, SYRIA, ZIMBABWE AND OTHER PROHIBITED JURISDICTIONS. PLEASE NOTE:

• Make sure you join the Discord channel to stay up to date on the latest network status.
• Please make sure to use the same public keys for your validator node/wallet address throughout the campaign.
• Please only request test tokens once from the faucet. The more tokens you request from the faucet, the less your rewards are likely to be.
• Participants will receive their rewards within a week after the campaign ends. KYC is required before eligible rewards are distributed to all participants.

⚒️ Validators / Node-runners

The validator campaign will start on 18 Oct 2021 at 3:00 PM PDT.

The second phase of the Findora Frontier validator campaign is designed to extend the stability testing of v0.2.0 leading up to release on Findora Mainnet Beta and reward those that help participate. Note that running a validator on Findora is permissionless.

How to participate:

1/ Sign-up on this form with your email address and Discord handle. Join the Findora Discord server.

2/ Request your test FRA tokens from the 🚰 faucet-anvil channel. Please only request test tokens once from the faucet.

3/ Follow the Node Setup Documentation and spin up your server — configure the “memo” of your validator the same as your Discord handle. This is how your node is identified for clocking uptime.

4/ Go to the Validator Dashboard embedded on the testnet explorer and check your validator performance. Promote your validator on Twitter & Discord (additional bonuses will be rewarded to creative tweets and those who are super engaged in the validator community).

Prizes/Giveaways:

• The total prize pool of this campaign will be 500,000 FRA tokens
• Each validator’s performance will be evaluated based on their uptime and the total number of blocks signed during the campaign period

💰Delegators

The delegator campaign will start on 18 Oct 2020 at 3:00 PM PDT. The earlier you start delegating, the higher your reward ratio is likely to be.

The delegator campaign is designed to engage with and educate members in the Findora community to understand Findora’s staking mechanism and test out the Findora Desktop wallet as well as the Validator Dashboard.

How to participate:

1/ Go to findora.org/testnet to download the desktop wallet with Staking support and create your wallet.

2/ Sign-up on this form with your email address, Discord handle and your FRA wallet address on Anvil testnet to be used to delegate. Join the Findora Discord server.

3/ Request your test FRA tokens from the 🚰 faucet-anvil channel. Please only request test tokens once from the faucet.

4/ Select your validator(s), delegate and start accumulating block rewards. Make sure you perform all 3 types of transactions, i.e. “STAKE”, “UNSTAKE” and “CLAIM” at least once.

5/ Go to the Validator Dashboard embedded on the testnet explorer and monitor your delegation portfolio.

Prizes/Giveaways:

• Total prize pool of this campaign will be 250,000 FRA tokens
• Each delegator’s performance will be evaluated based on this parameter: (earned block rewards / test tokens received from the faucet). The more times you request tokens from the faucet, the less your rewards are likely to be.
• There will be additional bonus rewards for user feedback / bug reports on the staking tools, i.e. block explorer & desktop wallets. You can submit your feedback to kyc@findora.org or share in the 👛wallet-feedback channel on Discord.

🛣️ Looking Ahead

Over the past 10 months, various community developer teams were focused on delivering a strong foundation for the Findora network and ecosystem. Mainnet beta was launched leveraging Bulletproofs, a type of zero-knowledge proofs that efficiently preserves transactional privacy and masks balances; v0.2.0 on Testnet released with support for staking, delegation, rewards, and penalties; and v0.3.0 on Devnet is live with full EVM compatibility to support smart contracts, DApps, ERC-20 Tokens, and ERC-721 NFTs and more. New DApps are already being built on Findora.

The community is now working towards launching open staking on Mainnet Beta — a major milestone for a fully decentralized and community-oriented network. When staking is live, all FRA token holders can stake or delegate FRA tokens to capture staking rewards while contributing to the network consensus and security.
